The light does not come on the dash when I press the CC on/off button, and the A/C works, so it does not appear to be vacuum line related.
The horn works and the airbag light is NOT on, so the clockspring does not appear to be the issue.
I have checked the fuse, which from my research is #11 20A fuse for the power control module, correct? All the 20a fuses are fine.
I will check the brake switch next, but what am I looking for?
I appreciate any help

So, after pushing the on/off swith several times today while driving, I was able to get the cruise light to come on one time. I didn't notice it until just prior to switching the ignition off, and couldn't replicate it again.
So, is it likely the button?

On my 1996, the on/off switch on steering wheel had the same symptoms. I had to repeatedly push it to get it to arm. Read somewhere to use compressed air around the switch to blow out accumulated dust/debris that fouls contacts. It worked for me.

Thanks Steve, I read that some where and tried it already. I think that's how I was able to get it to come on once.
I just went for morning coffee and donuts and the light doesn't come on but cruise worked. I turned off and back on, and it worked again. I swear I tried that before and no joy.

May need to disassemble switch to clean contacts, or spray it with contact cleaner (check compatibility with plastic before spraying).

My above post is primarily for 1996 and earlier. The light is part of the on/off switch, no lights or indicators on dash .
