Default Hello from Carolina Beach

Hello everyone. I just joined the forum because of a recently purchased XJ. I currently own a completely restored 1979 CJ5 on 33's and a 4inch BDS lift, I am also currently restoring\building an 85 CJ7. I came

across this XJ and had to pick it up. Its a 1996 XJ Glaval Conversion with all original equipment such as TV,VCR and rear stereo. It actually in really great shape. I have done my research on the Glaval conversions and honestly there is just not much out there. I am trying to decide on how to build it. Anyone know how many of these were made? I'm trying to decide wheather to restore it completely stock or build a crazy looking off road machine. Any thoughts or information would be much appreciated

I have come across that a time or two on the forums but couldn't tell you a thing about it.
Thinking threads same as you wanting more info.
Personally I have to keep that stock or at least "stockish".
IMO while it would make a awesome overland rig like Battle said it would be a shame to mess with it too much.
But it is yours to do as you see fit. LOL.
Would like to see more pictures though.

I never even knew such a thing existed. Pretty classy and neat. The front end makes it look like a Ford Explorer

Fix it up, 4.5" lift, 33s, 4.10s, and drive it

I think i am going to go stockish lol. I really like the look. The front end is totally different! The thing i am torn about is the front lower plastic bumper cover. If anything i was thinking of doing away with it and hang on to it for later use if i want to go back stock. My basic plan so far is 4.5" on 33's like my 79 CJ7. Never owning an XJ any ideas or opinions would be greatly appeciated. I will add some more pics in my albums today.. I currently started taking the front end apart to begin the restore and have removed all the interior electronics in the camper shell. Restoring the interior to 100% stock
