freeman park/ north end carolina beach
I'll be in Carolina Beach the week of July 4th. I'll be in my Hemi Commander though.
Are 4wd's allowed on the beach there?
This will be my 1st trip to Carolina Beach. I plan on doing some pier fishing for King Mackerel and some kayaking/fishing in the marsh.

Yes there is a pretty nice strip of beach that you can drive on, drink on ( no glass), camp on (14 day limit ( just need to move Tent a few feet)), and have a fire ( pit to hold fire in)
Just to let you know its $20 a day or $100 for the year pass
This beach is going to be insane busy for the holiday but I love it.
I don't fish but I could probably show you a few places to try.

Wow! That's incredibly busier than I've ever seen it! I'm usually out there around Juneish.
I prefer hitting up the beach in Kure if I want to do some fishing.
The kayaking there is much much nicer too. You can actually access the marsh there. (and it's not as expensive)
This is how busy it was the last time I was out there...

Come to the beach for the 4th of July and then you will see busy! It gets to be a one lane road the whole beach!
I can't wait!
Id like to get a group of guys together out there.
