Default Hello

Just wanted to say hello. Im a Jeep newbie. This is my first ever Jeep, SUV, Truck... Heck it's even my first automatic. Ive always wanted a Jeep but have always been into sports cars. Well Ive always wanted a XJ, and finally saw one that I liked. So I took the plunge.

I look forward to learning a lot about my XJ from you guys and hopefully get to go mudding!

Thanks! My girlfriend is not too happy about the words "Jeep" and "Mod" in the same sentence

Welcome from Deep South Texas. Glad to see you. Beautiful Jeep. Almost looks like it could use some mods though. We will talk you through any improvements that you want to do.

I''m not sure yet. I do know I want a lift and some bigger tires for it. I'm seriously very new to Jeeps. I dont even have any friends who have Jeeps or any offroad experience. I want to be able to play in the mud and maybe hit up some trails. Nothing to crazy! That's where you guys come in with some advice!

Thanks for the welcome all

I noticed your setup. A few random people I know suggested th RE 3.5" lift and 31" tires. Is this a good all purpose "newbie" setup? A few people also said I need a SYE(?)

That sure is a clean looking XJ. I know some people from your state that say there is lots of mud to play in. It would look good on it.
