Up around you there is Reddington pass area on the east side in the Rincon Mtns and north of town there is Charlou gap that goes between saddlebrook and mammoth. RP is has more to offer for moderate type trails with some hard stuff thrown in. In Benson the are a few places we go Red Rock is one but is kinda rough, Scorpion canyon is a nice one but long most anything stock can do it. There are some out by Tombstone in the Dragoons which are fairly easy and nice views. Depending on how much driving you want to do there are some down here on Ft Huachuca and out by Bisbee and Patagonia as well. There is a 4x club in tucson that usually does a New years day run in RP area. Some of us from here are going up to Florence for a day runs and a few others are camping for New years.

I'm in Tucson too! and I recently bought my first Cherokee not too long ago too. I'm new to XJs, but not to Jeeps or off roading. Let me know if you're heading out to get dirty, or want to get together sometime.
