looks like I found the site I needed. I'm an old fart (52) -been wrenching
since I was 16 or so. worked on cars, bikes, snowmobiles, ultralight air
craft, mil 6x6s, etc. glad to find you people, tired of "build it by credit
card" sites. just looking around the forums/posts shows me i can help
out some of you younger and/or nOObs, and you might be able to help
me. i've got 2 xj's-84carb2.5 & 86FI2.5. just put in TBI injector from a
80? S10 2.8 in the 86, fired right up- obviously spray pattern and map-
ping are close enough, was told it would'nt work.... no,P/N's ARE'NT even close so i think there's a cheap fix. new FI is $173 at local Auto Value- my cost thru my shop!!! have always enjoyed "farm boy tech" or "two dollar
hotrodding" or whatever you call it where you are. anyway have some
oddball electrical fixes, too. would like to know if any of you have done or
know of a successful Nutter bypass on a carbed 2.5 -mine needs help! once again-glad i found everyone!!! wilco40
