Default Minnesota Law change regarding Highway Auxiliary light use

The Minnesota Legislature chang ed the " Headlight" laws this year to (in laymans terms) , you can have a maximum of 4 lights operating at any given time on Minnesota roads. You are allowed to have 2 auxiliary high beams, 2 auxiliary low beams and 2 fog lamps. Each of these categories has seperate regs regarding minimum illumination standards (ie 350 ft on high, 100 ft on low etc..)and aim/direction of the lamp (main beam can not cross the center line, etc...) but when it comes to maximum power it becomes more vague. The law states that the commisioner of public safety determines the acceptable total candlepower and the acceptable headlamp types, but when I look at their website all I can find is that you must follow federal guidlines.

What are federaly accepted auxiliary lights and where do i find a list? Any fellow Minnesotans out there have any ideas on where to get this info?

I am very pleased that I will be able to purchase a brush guard and load them up with all my lighting needs and still be legal because I absolutely despise the stock lights on my 99', but all of these regs are giving me a headache.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
