O.K. So, I'll try not to get ramble-y, but no promises. First I had probly give a little background, soooo...
Hello all! My name is Charlie and I'm from Ohio. I am purchasing a 2000 cherokee sport with the 4.0 liter in-line six, 4x4, power windows and locks, cruise control, good A/C.. Reason being- I'm going to college and turning 19 this next month, and, as much as I love it, I can't afford to take my jacked-up '95 RAM 1500. (I will be studying to become a John Deere certified ag TECH, so I'll be traveling in between the college and my sponsoring dealer in Michigan.) While looking for cars, I really wanted a small 4x4 truck, since I was used to pickups. But, not finding one, I turned to my second (equal) love: Jeeps. after several unsuccessful attempts to convince Dad to let me get a Wrangler, I found this Cherokee. (whew! that is alot of rambling. I'll pick up later, once I know a little more about it.)

Thanks, Guys! I'm kinda pressed for time, and I wont explain why I'm in Michigan and not in Ohio at the moment, but, here's a few pics. (ahh.. isn't our dead grass lovely? not.) Oh, I just wanted to ask- what would be the best first mod for me to do? I can't lift it up or put huge tires on it yet- I'm just wondering what your thoughts were. I'd like to find something simple, quick, and cheap to help with off-roading. Also, what should I check? (check this to make sure that this is ok before I do too much else, etc.) Everything tested out and ran well on the test drive, I was just again wondering about your thoughts.

Nice XJ, It looks just like my yard. If you don't have them yet, upgrading to HID lights. Is worth while, The difference is like night and day. Also here is a site to get your orginl build sheet for your XJ. Just fill it out, asking for build sheet. They will get back in a couple of days. It will let you know what it did or didn't come with. http://www.jeep.com/wccsapp/universa...ull&category=U Here is another site that has PDF format Chrysler- Moper OEM parts catalog, Very handy becuase they exploded veiws of everything. http://www.xjjeeps.com/

Thanks, guys.. And thanks for the tips. I picked up a Haynes service manual and a little disposable fire extinguisher. "FIRE GONE: stop fires fast!" it says.. Figure it could come in handy some day.. Now.. Dammit.. what was I gonna ask?
