Default Bought myself a Cherokee

Hello all. My name is Gary, Picked myself up a 96 Cherokee Classic

I am a Union Sheetmetal worker with access to a very large and very well stocked shop so I am lookin forward to Fabing up some stuff for the new ride.

I previously wheeled an 04' tacoma

Untill this happened

The absolute first mod will be cup holders!! I am shocked that a SUV built in the 90's didnt have cup holders, my moms old 84 bronco even had cup holders.

It happens! Devine intervention on that one, wasnt wearing my seat belt. I do miss that truck, Toyotas make fine offroad rigs

This one here goes where ever you point it

But my better half abosolutely hates that truck, seriously she refuses to ride in it!

Which is why I purchased the cherokee, something a little more g/f friendly, not lookin to run the rubicon in it, more like an exploring/camping in the back country rig! I believe this will make a nice platform to build off of.

Welcome to CF from Buck in Washington state. I had an 80 Toyota long box bobbed, locked, Marlin Crawlered and on 35s before I got my XJ. I loved that truck and miss it dearly.

I'm juiced to get started, been reading on this site for the last few hours. Since i dont plan to rock crawl, I want to keep it a low center of gravity. I see you can run 31x10.5 at stock ride hieght with fender triming, and 33's with a 3" lift.

I have no problems triming sheetmetal. I was running 33" on a 3" lift on the taco. The 85 is running 35x10 with 3.5" of lift.

It appears the Ford 8.8 from the exploder is the axle of choice?
