Hi all, I just purchased an 89 Jeep Cherokee Laredo about a month ago that I'm currently trying to get back to street condition. 213K miles on a 4.0L I6 and auto transmission with no run and go problems, stopping is my issue.

Thanks for the offer whowey. I'm one of the lucky ones that doesn't need warm weather to work on anything. I have a large heated shop just south of me. Also, if anyone needs parts for a 92 Laredo with the 4.0L I got a parts truck that much to my dismay I can't use much of anything off of. If you want the whole thing let me know also. I'd be willing to let it go for $400 OBO. No title though, so it's strictly offroad or parts only.

Ahh.. you bought it on CL didn't you..I'm pretty sure that I saw it for sale.

It's not that you can't use anything... just none of the driveline or electrical..

i need parts. got any pics?

Yeah I got it off of CL. $800 for the pair of em. The paint looked horrible when I got it, but after a round of rubbing compound and wax it shines really nice. As for the 92 it's still dirty as heck, but I'm not going to street that one, so I'm not worried about it. Haven't really looked at it to see how bad the rust is, but all the glass is still there (except the windshield, its broke). It's currently sitting at the mechanic's place in Belvidere. Just gotta let me know if you're gonna go to look at it so I can let him know. Unknown if the engine is any good. Starter doesn't work so I don't even know if it turns over. I do have a question. On these jeeps that didn't have the overhead console what is this small box with what looks like a computer circuit board in it?
