about time i joined :) hey
Hey guys.
Its about time i joined this forum. Im based in Ireland and have had my cherokee xj for 4 years now. Im a carpenter but since I got my jeep i feel like more of a mechanic
Its great to see so many jeep enthusiats not many here in Ireland and that makes it difficult to get info and advice when deciding what to do to her next
Im having 2 small problems at the minute.
1. The Blower Motor Resistor needs replacing, think it got wet when we had a big freeze here and condensation ran down windscreen and damaged some stuff when i was away.
2. Central locking sensor, the button on the door works to open all the doors, but since the freeze the fob isnt working. im sure its either a fuse or a sensor that got wet but where would I find them? Been searching but dont know what it looks like and everything in my jeep is covered by a nice layer of oil, grease and mud
any help would be much appreciated.
thanks

Thanks for the welcome guys.
The heater is only working when turned to 4. I hear its a common enough problem. I found a new resistor $26 but its $40 to ship to Ireland. Seems ridiculous as I just bought a set of lights from Cali and it Only cost $20 for shipping, and they are much bigger and heavier than a small resistor.
First thing i did with the central locking was change the batteries to rule that out. Unfortunately I knew it was going to be that sort of day and thst was way too easy
