Default zonelift or trail master?

Alright so ive done my research on suspension and narrowed down to zonelift for $749 or tm for $649 both 4.5" lift.

So my question is has anyone had any experience or knowledge of performance? I know zonelift is a sister brand of bds suspension. I really haven't heard much of TM at all but they do offer lifetime warranty.

Although not personal use I do install these kits(zone that is)

In my opinion its better to piece the lift out. You have 750 to work with.

The transfer case drop is easily made at home so that is not a game changer.
Sway bar extensions are optional because many including myself do not run them, so not a game changer.

You still will need a track bar. I would rather have adjustable control arms also.

And the shocks are ok, but I never have been impressed by them.

By piecing the lift out you may have a couple hundred more into it. But you would have a very nice complete kit.

Just my opinion.

So just roughly.

Adj track bar: 140-240
Adj control arms 130-240
Shocks 100- 400
Coils 100-200
full leaf packs 300-400
Ex brake lines: 40-100

The track bar and brake lines you would have to buy on top of the kit.

I got the 4.5" zone lift with leaf packs and it is pretty good so far. It's stiff but I like it. But like what caveman said you might be better off buying parts separate. Now that I know now everything about my lift and what was really important, I would buy single parts at a time if I did it again

I also have a zone 4.5". Zone is made by bds which in my opinion is better quality.

what are the benefits of adjustable control arms??? just curious as I just bought some fixed and was considering the adjustables but not sure I'd use its full benefit as I don't understand their purpose...

sorry but I'm suspension illiterate to say the least...

Adjustable allows you to get your axle exactly where it should be rather than close to where it should be with fixed length arms. As you go up in height the control arms become more slanted or angled. This pulls the axle back towards the rear and gives a rougher ride.
And I have a Zone 3inch kit and have no complaints. Everything was correct and fit as it should. It rides a little rough but that is due to my poor shackle angle which I am fixing this week.

When you lift your jeep you change your castor. With adjustable control arms this helps get the castor back to where you want it.

With uppers and lowers you have a lot of adjustment.

Zone lift it is. Thanks everyone for the heads up. I'm taking cavemans advice and piecing my lift together.

Zonelift has stiff springs so ill get those.

Any recommendations for adj control arms? Rough country has x flex control arms not sure if that's the same or if control arm drop brackets will do the same job

I like Iron Rock Offroad for control arms, and the only track bar I'll run is the IRO double shear. Bent lower control arms will allow more droop because the control arms will have more room to move before they hit the shock mounting plate.

You don't really need adjustable control arms; you need longer ones. The benefit to adjustable arms is you can change them if you raise or lower the Jeep in the future. That can save you from buying control arms again.
