XJ Tailgate Conversion?
I want to convert my XJ’s liftgate to a tailgate like on many other trucks. My idea is to get the tailgate from a Comanche and replace the bottom half of my liftgate with it. I’d have the top piece open upward and the bottom piece open down. It’d be so much more convinient for getting anything out of the trunk, and I’ve replaced the struts for my liftgate but they’re always popping off and/or breaking. The question is, has anyone ever done anything like this?
