XJ Axle conversion
So I have an 88 jeep that I'm putting an 5.5" long arm lift and stage 2 stroker kit in, and have a few questions about what I should do with the axles. I was thinking of having a rockjock 60 built custom for me for around 4 grand, but i found out the my friend has his 93 grand cherokee all time 4 wheel drive for sale for $500 because it has a warped head. What would it take to convert the axles, would everything fit, and would it be worth it?

Ok few things... Why are there two threads for this?
1.) What size tires are you wanting to run?
2.) Do you really have the cash to throw at a RJ 60?
3.) GC axles aren't going to be a worthy upgrade for you and the rear one won't even bolt in.
Answer the tire question and we can help you more accurately.

If your friend's GC has stock rears, it's garbage. They either have D35's, or the D44a (not as nice as it sounds.) Plus they have coils all the way around, so you'll still have to fab the rear end to fit. All the work of an axle swap, and no benefit.

I'm running 32's now and 35-37's when those wear out, and I realized a bunch of issues with using my buddies axles. If it's for my Jeep, then I will always find a way to have the cash. Thanks for answering, but I figured it out in a different thread and by doing some research already. Second opinions are always handy
