78-79 Ford Dana 60s are the most wanted because they have the longest driver side tube and run 1000 plus for one that needs rebuilt. 80s models are decent and have kingpins but can be tricky because of the very small driver side tube which doesn't leave much room for coil buckets. 90s and up Dodges have a driver side drop but have unit bearings, are low pinion and aren't known to be as strong as the ford versions. Some use the newer super duty axles, keep in mind they used a D50 in F250 the first few years, and they are plenty stong despite the ball joints and use a metric bolt pattern but also have small driver side tubes.

Good advice on the fronts^, just beware of the Dana 61 Rear, most are 3.07 and can only go to 4.27 IIRC.

there really arent write ups. get new axles, measure your old bracketry, transfer that to the new axles.

I found a decent set of axles i was going to pick up for cheap. its the 60/70 out of a 94 dodge. While there are questions being answered ill add another question! The dodge doesn't have lock outs, it has a vacuum disconnect like some of the dana 30's. My question is with that there would it interfere with the passenger spring seat?

Not sure where the CAD is on the Dodge axle but I'd skip the CAD axle anyway. The Ford versions are much stronger due to the high pinion and one piece shaft. I also prefer the lockouts for several reasons. Price, bearings are greaseable and the hub assembly is rebuildable whereas the unit bearing is pricey and non servicable. If you break a shaft they may take longer to disassemble but you can pull the shaft and run but with the unit bearing the shaft holds it together. And I just like things I can actually work on. The Dodge knuckles are a different size than other D60 knuckles so keep in mind they don't have any parts that will swap over. If you can get the set for a cheap enough price it may be worth it but I wouldn't spend more than a couple hundred bucks.
