What u men it can only go one of 2 ways? The Ds ears wasn't inline when I got it. Not even the front Ds ears on my DD XJ are in line and they haven't been touched at all.

there are a bunch or teeth that you can fit the shaft in different positions..

they have to be in line timed if you will. It will be balanced when they are inline or you will have to take it off and rotate it 180 degress someone must of removed it before and didn't put it back on right

Then why do the driveshaft have multiple teeth allowing you to place the yoke perpendicular and what not to the other yoke? I'm not doubting you and I'll try what u tell me to do. I'm just curious..

I have built driveshafts for 5 years for a company it has to do with rotating mass. When they are lined up they are in time. If you buy a new one or take that one to a shop to have it balanced I guarentee that it will be in time when they balance it

So I should forget about how it was before and just put them inline..and if it doesnt work flip it over right?

How do I get the u joints off of the cardan side of the Ds? it's like locked in there. I use the socket and hammer technique but I'm not sure if it'll work cause like I said, it's like locked in there..
