So i looked on the internet specifically for a carter because I know airtex has a bad rep. I asked the seller before I bought it if this was a true carter or a re labeled Airtex and they told me it was a true carter so I bought it. I read somewhere online that carter started selling airtex using the carter name. Box says carter. Assembly says carter but when u peeled the Q.C sticker behold I see an airtex label. WTF??? I paid more for this pump to be a carter and I get an airtex with carter packaging??? I'm pretty pissed off I don't know if I should just install the damn thing or return it and get my money back. This is bull what's up with this???? What 8 am hoping is that just the assembly itself is airtex and the pump is carter but the pump has no engraving to show what brand it is.

 

CARTER P76542M comes up for xj also. Been running mine 4 years now. Seem troubles are with universal airtec pump not complete modules.
