SYE is not always better. just a different method. the HnT is a proven and reliable method most people just mess up on the instal. crooked cut, crooked drill ect

the quality of the H&T is in the install. otherwise it is the same as a NON HD SYE. if you get an SYE today almost all of them come with e stronger tail housing and a 32 spline output shaft. stock or h&t is 27.
I was in the same dilemma you are in this summer. I ended up going with a JB CONVERSIONS HD SYE and found a longer v8 grand cherokee driveshaft on ebay for my set up. i couldnt get a standard front xj shaft because i have an ax-15 trans. needed a 33" shaft. all in all i spent $250. and the install was CAKE!

I've had the Rubicon Express HnT for 3 years now, and I have never had an issue. I've done two of them (two separate tcases), and like others have said, it's all about the installation. You really have to take your time with the cutting and drilling. Go slow, take your time, measure twice, use lube while drilling. I wouldn't hesitate to use the HnT again.

I bought my hnt from dirtbound offroad for 89 shipped.
I installed it Friday. It went well and I have no vibes. Went to the jy and bought a front xj ds. All good. Fitment was good. I even used the u-joints from the jy ds. It appeared someone had recently replaced the joints, lucky me...
