8 cyl '98 Black clump of rubber and black smear on belt of unknown origin. Black spattered on sheath of unknown origin.
JGC stalled. High pitched whine for 20 seconds upon restarting. Driving normally since. AC was accidentally turned ON prior to stall out. May have turned heat off just prior to stallout. Are these things related. What's the black stuff? Melted belt? Belt looks okay.

Well if you turned on the AC "accidentally" ..why would that be an accident ...it might also be seized AC compressor? I had a seized alternator once and yes of course that will smoke your serp belt quick, so would a seized AC. It will scream like a banshee too..
