Default Driver's Factory Grab Handle Modification

So I did this mod a while back so sorry it's jut progress pictures, rather just pictures of what I did. From the factory, none of the Jeep XJ's came with driver side front grab handles. This is how I used OEM parts to add one, and make it look stock.

Default Rivnuts For The Win!

First off, sorry if some of the information is wrong. I did this mod a while ago. So, from the factory there are already holes in the interior of the body, however, they are not exactly made for the grab handle. They are spaced roughly the proper amount. I used rivnuts to attach the handle.

Left side. You can see the rivnut, the alignment hole, and an extra oval hole.

Right side. You can see here the rivnut and guide hole for the alignment peg moulded into the grab handle.

Default Done!

This is the a-pillar trim with the new holes cut out. I took measurements and made a template off of another grab handle using masking tape. These holes are actually smaller than the factory holes and they barely let the handle slip through.

This is everything assembled!

Default Extra Notes

I remember I had to drill out the existing holes for the rivnuts to fit, but I don't remember what size hole, size rivnut, or what thread pitch the bolts I used were. I wanted to use the OEM bolts, just because I'm extra like that, but I could not find rivnuts of the same thread. So instead I used philip head machine screws since they were going to be hidden anyways. It turned out pretty strong, and you can see the evidence by the imprint on the headliner.
