I am going to get a cherokee. I am going to lift it and get wheels and tires. I have a (less then 5k miles) set of mud terrain km2's that are 35x12.50x17. What would be needed to run them or should i just sell them and get a set of 33's? Thanks in advance.

Trim your fenders and bumpstop. Also get some 5-760x u-joints with full circle clips for the front axle. And stay off the skinny pedal. Take it easy off road. There's tons of people on here running 35s with sick axles and no problems. Do a little searching and see what else those people did.

lots of money, sell them get 33's but you'll still need lots of money to do it right . just not quite as much & you'll break less parts offroad. trust me i know, staying off the rocks may help too.

lame! throttle it out without fear when you're running the full circle clips. that's always my #1 suggestion as well

LAME!

lol. stock shafts ground for full circle, lunchbox locker with upgraded cross shaft, and honestly 1 ton steering and regear are the most important things. soo... maybe like $1000 later, now you're ready for 35's

Good point on the steering. That slipped my mind. Maybe even upgrade the steering box to. The rest gave me a good laugh for some reason.

depends if you want to cut your fenders or not. you can fit them with stock height

A stock cherokee on 35's is fine for the trail, but on the street it'll be a deathtrap.

Definitely upgrade the brakes, the stock stuff SUCKS on 35's.

A ZJ swap in the rear will be sufficient; If you drive it every day I would look into a WJ swap for the front as well.

The stock steering also sucks, on 35's it vibrates & flexes too much. Again, look into the WJ swap as it gives you crossover steering with a high steer knuckle at the same time as greatly improving the brakes. The swap is fairly time-consuming but worth its weight in gold IMO.

Sounds like ill just stick to 33's then! 4.5" lift suffice for that? Im not gonna be crawling rocks or anything. Just hitting some trails and snow and mud with it, but will also be my daily driver for the time being. Thanks for the help guys!

At 4.5" you'll want some extended brake lines as well

Yea, dont most kits come with lines? Also what the SYE and will i need it? Most kits im looking at say they come with a t-case spacers to drop it. If i go SYE, depending on what one, i can just run a front driveshaft in the rear? Its all new to me sorry for so many questions! Thanks for the help!

correct. and SYE replaces the rear output of your tcase with a new one and new tailhousing allowing you to run a CV driveshaft effictively "eliminating" the factory slip yoke. SYE = slip yoke elim. or you can try out a tcase drop, it's up to you. running a front XJ driveshaft in the rear is easy, most will fit.

serious offroad has them for like $150 and amazon has them for $160 shipped. google
