Whats the most lift without a SYE
I am piecing together a 6.5 in lift for my 89 xj. Im using rustys front coils and rear leafs but im thinking about adding 1.5 inch shackles and spacers. I was woundering if i can go that high without a SYE for now. Im putting 6 degree shims on the read and have a 1 inch drop on the transfer case.
I am also using rough countrys control arm drop kit i will eventualy put the long arm kit on it whats the most u can get out of a control arm drop set up i know it will hinder my flex. Any information will be greatly appriciated thanks.

I am at 5.5" and I did a t case drop and shims in the rear. No vibes but I have seen where I am pulling out of the yoke quite a bit. You may be ok if you don't wheel hard but if you are in the middle of nowhere and it pulls out, would it be worth it? I am getting a hack and tap next just for this reason.

The hack and tap I am getting comes with a refurbished XJ/ZJ/TJ front driveshaft.
