Depends. They probably cost a decent amount to ship due to the weight of them. I see them for between $100-$120 often. I try to deal locally though so I can see it beforehand. Make sure if nothing broken. If you're not trying to keep a budget then I'd say just spend the extra $100 and gets new one. Most vendors on eBay offer free shipping and you'll know you're getting a new one.

The lunchbox lockers aren't the strongest and many times those are the ones that show up for sale online (ones with issues possibly).
Sometimes penny wise is pound foolish on a lunchbox you can't checkout before you buy. New you have a warranty and know where it came from, just my .02.

I personally would not buy a used locker and chance missing one of the little springs or install pins some of them use, etc.
You can get a brand new LOKKA lunchbox locker for $198 with FREE Shipping, http://lokka.com
I had a Spartan, I bought it because I liked that it came with a hardened new shaft, but it would make some loud bangs sometimes when pulling in a parking spot or backing up (Still loved being locked), and I just bought a LOKKA but I have not installed it yet for my current project. I think Aussie, LOKKA, and SPARTAN are all about equal, and Lockrite is a step up, but at its price I might as well bump up $100 more and install some Detroit Lockers (but I can install my own gears - other need to add labor), which is what I plan to do until I hit the lottery and can upgrade Axles and get some Selectable lockers (Probably E-Lockers).
I am a cheap bastard, sometimes it bites me in the butt, like when I bought used gears, they were so much more difficult to setup it was not worth the savings. But sometimes if I wait until I can afford what I really want.... the project gets stalled and never finished, so I get "Good Enough" for now and will come back to it later.

All Auto Lockers are not created equal, things to compare other than just price:
- Warranty (Only need it when you need it)
- Grade of Steel Used (better steel = longer life & better Resale Value)
- Customer Service (Only need it when you need it)
- Shipping & Returns (Cost, time, overseas?)
- Cross Pin Included (Upcharge, or is it necessary?)
- Made in the USA? (If that matters to you)
I have Google Alerts setup to look for 'Aussie Locker' and I see a craigslist or ebay ad once and a while. I've seen used Aussie's selling for $200 typically, but keep in mind, they may be leaving room for negotiations... Have you ever paid full ask on a craiglist ad? I've also seen people trying to sell other brands of lockers under our name which I find interesting.
