My rear quarters are rusted bad, as in I can poke a hole in them with my finger. However- it hasn't gotten past the upper bend (Where a cut n fold would bend at). So- is there any reason I can't just cut the whole thing off, then rivet in a metal panel under there to keep the elements out? I haven't found anything through searching...
Yeah I had to pretty much do that when I cut mine out. I folded what I could up and then welded in a piece to cover it, but I guess you could rivet it. I also took the paneling off on the inside and sealed it up after I welded in the new piece just to make sure there were not any leaks.

Thanks for the reply, I think I'll do that same thing with adhesive like JeepTrick- I have 0 welding skills... or a welder for that matter.
