I want to upgrade my rear drum brakes (96 XJ Country) to disc brakes. Who has the best and easiest bolt on upgrade?

Really easy I just did mine. Got all the parts from
The junkyard or oreillys cheaper than most kits I've seen. If you're going to put it on your jeep I'd take it off another jeep yourself so you can see how it all is supposed to be. That's what I did.

Thanks. Which year did you pull your parts from?

Not 100% sure to be honest. I pulled it from a liberty because I have a 8.25 rear end and it's a direct swap but same concept with a zj also for the dana 35. I think the thing is finding one with disc brakes I don't think year matters too much. Zj brakes can be used on an 8.25 but there was a liberty there with a 8.25 so I said what the heck why not.

Yes, smartass, I did. I wanted to hear his personal experience. If you can't be positive please don't bother responding.

I was positive in post two,,but as of now I see your are the kind of person that needs ppl to spoon feed them info because they cant read and learn anything before asking questions.. If you did read the links Roni posted and or I, you would of seen what year to get the parts from and how to do it.. Oh well, continue asking questions..

Thanks. I also like the idea of the purchase from "big David" it may be an option for me. At the moment I have no idea which rear end I have on mine. I'm sure there's a thread for it. Regarding my previous post I first thought they were from the same person, so I need to apologize and say thanks for the help. I've used the site in the past for a transfer case change after having no clue what I had at that time either. I'll take a look at your trials!
