I think if a person isnt into jeeps or building offroad vehichles there are other places to be. Or I guess i could just be somewhere else where rigs are actually built and tuned for a purpose.

I enjoy building as much as I enjoy being out on the trails
Also enjoy seeing other builds no matter how mild or wild.
Half doors. Still need to finish out and paint, but I get more compliments on these than no doors. Not many people take the time for half doors. Way more fun to drive too!
I love them, on my list of things I am planning to do. I was thinking of a lower cut though. You see any issues with that?
You do you, bruh
I went with my best guess as to what I wanted. You're going to gut the doors anyway, so it's really up to you. Now, I went with skinning my doors and fully welding them out, as I wanted a clean look, but other folks have just capped them, riveted them, whatever...
I just like that I have full doors that drop in, half doors that drop in, or I can go doorless. I also have plans to do tube doors at some point, just haven't gotten there yet. It's nice to have options.
You don't need to buy door skins, just sheet metal. I used some scrap I got from work, and just cut pieces to fit the cut out areas, and welded them together. Tack all the pieces in place, then do intermittent tack welds and repeat until you have one solid weld, grind, shape, sand, paint.
