I'd get some drop brackets, RC has them for $190. 5" of lift will ride like crap without it.

My buddy is rolling at 5.5" in the front without the drop bracket and its fine, thought he does need the adj. lcas but you have them so you should be cool, depending on the condition of your jeep you might be breaking/ cutting off some bolts but then again my jeep led a crap life before I got it.

Shocks, Slip yolk eliminator, or a hack from IRO. I would also switch out all of the front end bushings to a polyurethane kit. Lift and tires will bring out the shakes on occasion, better to nip it before it starts.

you wont need a swaybar drop if your quick discos are for your lift height (not sure why they wouldnt be)

^^^X2 I would stay away from the hack-n-tap. Just out of curiosity, what is all this running you to your door?

Namaste,

Allen

why not buy a kit that has everything you need? I bought my RC 4.5" and love it. Came with everything (adj upper and lower control arms, adj trac, tcase drop, ext brake lines, full leaf with shims, shocks, steering stablizer, coils, swaybar quick disconnects) shipped to my door for around $850.

If/when you start working on your shocks, do some barpin eliminators. You might as well plan for it so when you bust those bolts you won't get stuck there too long. Which reminds me, I should probably put my passenger side BPE in...

To AOR if you are talking about cost i'm lookin' at roughly $1132.63. and SCREWED UP 6....i was thinking about it but then i thought to myself ill already have the spacers and shackles on. I'm not to worried about having to take the spacers off but i wasn't aware stock shackles were the best to run with a lift kit. So here's my new train of though, even though it changes about once a week, i'm thinkin' i might just get a lift kit and take the spacers off and as for my shackles keep them but lower it to 1.5 inch when I get my lift kit. Think that would be okay? and yes BPE's were something i was looking at as well. and shocks were on my list i just forgot to put them on here. But yea I'm thinkin' i might just wait to get the lift kit but i would really like to keep these shackles on if i could....any suggestions? should I go with this build or get a kit? either way i'd like to have it ready by the end of summer for the jeep jamboree!!!!! can't wait for that! i think there is one in june as well...anyway suggestions on what i should do please!!!!! thanks!

My 4.5 RC has been nothing but impressive to me. Im sure there are people that will bash Rough Country, but honestly I have never had a lift kit and from what I can tell, good bang for the buck. Some compare to Rustys, but rustys wants A LOT for shipping. Actually RUSTYS and RC were within $10 of price when I added shipping on both. BUT my RC came with adj control arms, quick disconnects and steering stabilizer ( i added it seperately) but it was still overall cheaper than Rustys.

Do some research. If you have $1000 to spend, Id suggest you look into Rubicon Express. I have read a lot on here about it and their 4.5" lift really runs about 5.5". Or you could get a RC lift and upgrade your shocks to Bilsteins and have a great ride.

I think your better off buying a kit in whole if you ask me.

Yes on the kit (one place to go for warranty issues if any arise). RE is in reorganization. I would stay away from their products right now. Even if you did find them in the pipeline, warranty may be a factor until they come back out in business.
