Take ou the front seats and lift the carpet. Use a wet dry shopvac to get out as much as you can and prop the carpet up to dry. There is some heavy insulation under the carpet so make sure you get all of it dry otherwise it will rust out floorboards. Its going to take a while to dry, not just a few hrs. Throw a few fans in there maybe.
I pulled my carpet completely but my jeep is a POS. The carpet goes under the center console so if you have enough time or motivation you can pull the whole piece out to clean up.
Where did the water come from? Spill? Wheelin? Ive heard of the a/c leaking condensation from under dash because of a clogged or kinked drain line.

Mine started leaking from under the center of the dash on the carpet ( like under the heater vents ) I am thinking mine is from ac because its just water. plus there was a what I think is the evaporator that was full of condensation and really cold. So my guess is mine is the ac but any thoughts on what else it oculd be?

I did the same, however mine wasnt quite that bad. Mine was caused by the grommit for the antenna wire coming loose, let water run straight in underneath the carpet. Took FOREVER to figure that one out lol
