Warn 8274 winch pros/cons?

I came across an 8274 in good shape I can pick up for what I believe to be a real bargain . Is the 8274 the cats meow like I’ve heard ? Are there any cons to going with an 8274? What would you pay for one in good shape with newer cable ?

"The last winch you'll ever need" ... according to a friend of mine who rebuilt his a few years ago. Even if it's bad it can be fixed.

They definitely have a solid reputation . Now if only it wasn’t the worst possible time of year to run into one !

The only thing I can think of that's a negitivn is the size and weight on a light weight rig. You can help with the weight problem by going to synthetic winch rope.
