I'm new here but have read a lot about vibrating rear ends....
-Got a 93 Cherokee 4.0 Auto.
-205k miles
-Has a 3" rough Country add a leaf installed 6months ago so struts are fresh.
-Aligned after the lift. Jeep does have death wobble occasionally.
-Tires are nothing massive, no bigger the an inch over factory but are fairly new and balanced.
Recently (past month) While driving appx 70+ mph the jeep seemed to vibrate. it was extremely annoying. As soon as I let off the gas it would go away completely but once even the smallest amount of throttle it would continue to vibrate. Definitely not coming from the steering wheel.
Now at about 40+ it does the same thing. once I let off the throttle it goes away. Also while moving, if i quickly apply moderate gas, you hear a Clunk in the rear. This is worse at low speeds in 4th gear.
The main culprit seems to be the driveshaft after reading. any suggestions on where to pinpoint the issue? Thinking U joints in the drive shaft? This jeep is my daily driver and FULL of rust. (no floor boards) so Ill be honest, I like to fix it for cheap but as well as possible.
Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

Driveline vibes could be caused by bad drive shaft u joints, centering ball, or rear axle pinion angle not being set right. Could also be play in the rear yoke or a transfer case issue if all those things are good.

Bringing this back....
The U joints seem solid on the driveshaft. where would the next place be to look? are they any trans mounts that could go bad?
