I am still new to this so forgive me if it seems like a simple question. I have read were it is ok to run a gas shock upside down. I have the 4.5" lift on the rear of my XJ with a 6 to 7 degree shim on the rearend. I did not relocate the lower shock mount and decided to put the Skyjacker 7000 shock on with the piston mounted to the body. I felt that the tube end of the shock had a stronger weld on the eye and since there would be a side load on the shock from the mount that it would be stronger. What are your thoughts on this?
I appreciate any input good or bad.
