I’ve been tracking down a knocking on the Passenger side of my Cherokee. I noticed that upper control arm bushing on the passenger side where it attaches to the front axle has play in it and is making a clicking sound. I bought a new bushing and it went right in and has the same amount of play in it and I thought it was gonna needed to be pressed in. I tried another new bushing from Napa with a caliper and they all seemed to be the same size. I’ve been told the bracket for the bushing could be wallowed out so how hard is that to fix?
Might do the iron rock bushing so that after its welded in it can still replace the inner guts of bushing ounce it wears put if it ever does.
my bushings are shot to so I orderd this iron rock press in bushing just to see what they're about.
I like it
Does anyone have any experience with how these Iron Rock press in bushings wear? I know they are rebuild-able, I'm trying to find out approximately how long they last before needing to be rebuilt. Comparatively do they last as long or longer than say rubber bushings?
I'm not sure how long they last. But in hand quality feels very good. I may end up running these and keep a couple rebuild sets on hand. I expect lots of miles out of them
