Upgrading BDS 4.5 SA
I've been almost set on the BDS 4.5 short arm kit for quite some time now, and am looking to do the lift in early spring. I just have one question. Say down the road I want to put 35s or 37s under my xj. How hard is it to lift it up a couple more inches, and to convert to a long arm setup? If I just use spacers will that affect the flex at all?
Sorry if this is a newb question lol, gotta learn somehow right?
Thanks guys!

converting to the long arm setup isn't very hard. You just have to buy a kit accordingly, and set it up. as for spacers, they just give you a difference in height. but no gain really in performance.

you'll have more droop as long as you increase the length of your shock. Since your upgrading to long arms that will truly increase "flex" since the arms won't bind. Pretty much the spacers will let you fit a bigger tire or you more clearance

If I were you, I'd start out with long arms. It will save you money and you'll be happier in the long run. Here's my current thread regarding this issue:
