Default upgrades to my older cherokee

I have a 94 2 door jeep cherokee. lifted up with 4 1/2 in rough country suspension. Got most of the bells and whistles already on it.
SYE w/ tom woods drive shaft
Adjustable track bar
control arm drop brackets
Aftermarket control arms
breaded steel brake lines.
Shackles.

Well my motor is about shot. burning oil, leaking water.(crack on the block...but still going strong for the past two years! Damn things are bombproof!) so i picked up a 2000 jeep cherokee CHEAP! and plan on putting that motor in mine. my question is is there any other upgrades from the newer model that would work on my 94? Are the brake systems the same or are they different? Looking to get what i can out of this cherokee before scraping it. thanks in advance!

Check the head on the 00 engine before you install it tho.If it has the 8.25 rear end you could grab that.Maybe the seats if they are in better shape.

The head on the 2000 scares me. Check and see if it's marked TUPY between number 3 and 4 cyllinders.

Ya I was going to go for the seats cause they are in much better shape than mine but I forgot they need to fold forward in my two door. And i already have a 8.25 but i just remembered mines 27 spline. that one would be 29 spline.. hmm might just pull that.

Seat covers are completely removable not sure if frames are same. Search brake booster upgrade make a big big difference.

dont bother with the 00 dana 30 as long as urs is in good shape. the 00-01 xj 30 is low pinion....

b rake booster upgrade, like others have said check to see if it has the tupy head, if its not i wouldnt swap that engine in without putting a new head at a minimal....

On the grill, wrapped in tinfoil and coated with olive oil. Nums.
