Upgraded ecu/ecm?

Alright guys im doing a complete tear down to body and rebuild/upgrade to a 97 Cherokee Country and have everything researched an ready to be bought except for a upgraded ecu/ecm. Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated an thanks in advance.

the dealer can "update" or reflash your ecu to the newest flash... but this is still for the factory setup and wont net any gains... what do you need it updated/upgraded for?

Thanks for that info gorilla, I was looking to buy one that would offer some type of performance gain/ have a second one that I can fab a waterproof box for an keep as a spare

I haven't seen any option as for the computer its self. Just piggy back chips like edge, super chips ect. dosen't meam they don't exsist though. I wish I could help
