Default Turn signal question

I have been working on rewiring my Jeep, as many know, but I have been unable to source a style of aftermarket fuse block to suite my needs that also incorporates the round style flasher relays our Jeep's use. There is a square style flasher that would work with my relay block I have decided to incorporate, but wanted to know from you guys if there would be any issues with that. There is even one style that has emergency and regular flashers in one unit that, again, could be incorporated.

Is there any particular reason other than simplicity and or time period for the round style two flasher setup in our Jeep's?

Yes I have and they are very expensive and not quite what I am wanting to do. Their products are really good though, I used them for a full rewiring project on a very beetle.
I am doing a phased installation, as budget allows, that is basically going to parallel the existing wiring until I have everything how I want it. There is a lot of changes going in:
Relocation of fuse box (off of firewall to inside dash)
Wire loom going aft will run along roof Piller
Installation of a multi-relay enclosure
Modification of existing wiring system to
a: clean up and modernize existing wiring
b: remove components not in use
c: standardize and codify each individual wire, providing the ability of any technician in the future to do repairs easily.
d: provide a more comprehensive wiring diagram specific to my vehicle

My question is merely whether a different style of flasher relays will work.
