I've never turbo'd an XJ, but my Eclipse was fun.

Definitely seen some quick ones. There's one around here with a talon drivetrain that's fast. Wicked sleeper. Of all the 4 cyl cars I'd have to say I have the most respect for talons. With the 106 car on 10 lbs we ran one with a gt42 that made 838 awhp. Dead nuts race both cars were a handful on the street lol. Must say that's the only thing that ever gave that mustang a run.

1g/2g Talons, Eclipses, and Lasers all used identical parts under the skin.

I had a 1g GSX. 11.03 at 135 was my best time. 1.60 second 60' time. 31psi through the motor, 1150cc injectors, wally 255 with an AFPR, 3" SS turbo back with a wastegate bypass, ACT2600 clutch, 272 cams, Kevlar tbelt, and a bunch of other crap I'm forgetting.

I was laughing cuz your said the turbo mani for sale here in the vendor section sucks because of placement, yet your design didn't look much different.

From the pics I saw It mounts the turbo right under the exhaust and intake. I said I would mount it where the battery was. I was just trying to show how I would route the hotside out of the header. My bad on bad mouthing that manifold, didn't realize he was a vendor on here. Feel free to delete that part if you have to. Very impressive eclipse by the way. That's big mph! Was it fwd?

Ohh ok. Don't know all the numbers and letters with them things. I was gonna say a 1.60 is flying for fwd lol. I'm digging through a box of stuff right now from when I moved trying to find a memory card for pics of when we built the 106 card. Don't have a ton other than what was taken on my old phone. Nobody was supposed to know What was in it at the time.

Yeah, she bit hard off the line, but still spun. I could have dropped that to a 1.3 or better if it would have actually hooked up.

I really wish I had more time with that car. It was a blast, but too much for me at the time. So many kinks that needed worked out, just needed finished.

Maybe when I'm done with the big parts of my XJ I will get another.

Yea it's pretty ridiculous the time and money it takes to make a car go fast. You can spend years working the bugs out. I've come really close to lately to selling mine but I can't. It started out bone stock, it's my first Mustang, and I've done every single thing on it with my own hands. It's so close to being finished I can't give up on it.

Can't believe I just found these. I've been wanting to look at these for a long time haha, brings back memories.
My buddy holding the turbo.

Downpipe was aluminum btw

And the finished product. She wasn't meant to be pretty by any means. Looks like some redneck junk. Didn't run like it. Look like an 8 sec car?

Eventually he got sick of how trashy it looked and it turned into this.

I don't understand what type of advice you're looking for. You say you sell / install megasquirts, and have turbo'd a few cars already ...

I've already touched on that manifold design in another thread, lol.

I'm about to just go build a turbo XJ myself just so I can get rid of all these damned threads.

Well I'm that track so this is my plan.. to3 turbine Toyota 7mgte with stock waste gate 9psi max, type rs blowoff valve, malpassi fpr, srt4 fuel pump, custom piping, still studding if intercooler would be used. Lower temp thermostat, apexi safc for tunning, Ford.mustang injectors... I think that's about it .. the rest well coming soon.
