Well, there are a few reasons I can think of. Turbos are more efficient, in general. Although crawling probably suits a supercharger more. It's pulling the hills on the drive out to the desert where I really want a turbo. In my particular case, I am putting on a turbo cuz I happen to have one sitting around, and I think it will be a fun challenge to make it work, doing my own engine management and everything. More of a skills exercise than anything.
