Tube bending calculations.
I have a 52 in pipe 1 3/4" od 1/4" thickness.
I'm making a stinger from it.
I need it bent at 90 degrees
I found the calculation for the bend online
[3.14x(2r)]/360 and multiply the degree of ur bend to that answer
R=radius.
The radius of the die is 5.5"
So my equation would be
3.14x11=34.54
34.54/360=.09594
.09594x90=8.6346 or 8 5/8"
So that said I would take 52" (length of my tube) subtract 8.625
52-8.625=43.375
And divide that in half
43.375/2=21.687
So I measure 21.687 inches in on one side and that's where I line the line on the die at?
