Ive had a True-Trac in the front of my 93 for 12 years + . Over 75K and still works well. It is TERRIFIC in the snow. All my kids learner snow driving in it. VERY predictable. Well worth 200 bucks.

LOL, I crack up when ever I hear people talking about the truetrac's being like open differentials. I will second the guy that said "you're doing it wrong." If A wheel lifts or looses traction all you have to do is drag the brake and it transfers power to the wheel with traction. Won't fully "lock" it, but it will transfer power and get you moving. I have truetrac's front and rear in my jeep and love them! If you're putting it in your hunting rig it would be perfect!

That's a bummer, keep your eyes open for another. I found a rear used one but ended up getting a new front one because i had my axle ripped apart to put 3.73 gears in and realized I totally forgot about having to change carriers (which ironically was the original reason for putting 3.73 gears in because the front truetrac was about $100 cheaper, lol)
