Front no problem. Rear is limited.

Front as far as I believe, you could cut all the way up to the top if you wanted to because its a removable section(could be wrong, probably am lol) but the rear you have to be careful, the spot welds if broken can leave you a gap that goes straight in to the inside of the jeep. Look up rear fender trimming. It'll show you where to cut to avoid the spot welds and how to work around it.

Cutting the front along the top of the flare makes for a good looking trim, for the rear just make a bunch of relief cuts between the pinch welds all the same length, then pound them in.

I was running 33/12.50/15's on a 3 in. lift & did the trimming you described.
I think it is a little much for 33's.Maybe 35's on a 4 in. lift.

You wind up cutting close to 2 1/2 inches out.

When I trimmed my fenders with 33s, it made the tires look small. Now I'm running 35s and the fender trimming looks better.

We need to just remove the search function. No one uses it anyways...lol

As stated above; the front is a matter of taste and function. The rear is limited to the pinch welds.

There are wright-ups on both on here and youtube. Just have to search.
welcome to Cf.

Curious, what about behind the front fenders? There is a section I'd like to trim, or trim and fold like the rear, that seems to be a part if the unibody. Anyone done this? Can I just trim and fold like the rear?

The inner pinch seem? Make relief cuts and beat it flat.

have you done that? Or seen it done? Seems like it'd be fine, but it's a mod you can't really reverse so I want to be sure.

I didn't even make relief cuts haha just used a BFH and went to town on it. Relief cuts would have made things much easier though

Me too. I didn't need relief cuts, mine went smoothly. You REALLY need to do this if you want to run 33's on a 3 in. lift. If not you WILL slice your tires up. Ask me how I know. You also need to do something with the sheetmetal screws sticking down thru inner fender as well. One goes to the grounding straps for the engine compartment. I beat some flush & relocated some.

I forgot what Daystar bumpstops I have but they are about 1/2 in. too short. The tires rub the inner fender alittle but I don't worry about it.
