I busted my transmission yesterday an got another tranny today so I'm not the best mechanic just wondering what I'm about to get myself into? Thanks in advance for the advice.

A weekend or 2 of rolling around in grease, cussing and bloody knuckels, and years of self satisfaction. Kinda depends on the condition of the donor. Swapping a trans isn't "technically difficult" but can be physically difficult. It's a Big heavy lump of metal, attached to the Jeep by hard to reach bolts, plumbing and eletrical connections. Doesn't require being a rocket scientist, but being a contortionist will make it go easier. Basically you just do the same things you do to get the old one out in reverse.

^^This and also lots of extensions, a couple good u-joints and E-torx sockets will be some of your best/favorite tools for this job.

It's easy man. Just don't loose any bolts. Might as well replace the filter while it's all off. Torque converter too if you can swing the money.

Depends if your doing it on your back or on a lift with a trans jack. If your on your back I'd recommend taking the transfer case off first, or at the least take it out in one piece but reinstall separately.
