Had my daughter turn my wheel while I watched my bracket. It seem they did a crappy job. I plan to fab some gussets to make it stronger. Has anyone done this? I am going to use 1/4" and weld them in. Seems one side moves a lot so I figure I can tie them together.

 

Im assuming your talking about the bracket moving?

If you are going to go thru the trouble to gusset it you might want to look at making a double shear bracket and welding it on.

 

I do not know what you mean be "double sheer". Do you have pic of it. I can almost fab anything at work.

Got it a bolt goes through and has two contacts. Thanks. Maybe when I have to replace it as it is new. I'll reinforce the bolt hole while I have it out.
