Just flipping a diff over does not make it a high pinion. It will make the whole diff work in reverse though. If that were the case everyone would be flipping their explorer 8.8 diffs when they install them to make them high pinion and swap the gears for 8.8 reverse cut gears.

I am going to use a dana 300 and the adapter. I think a dana 44 with chromos will hold for the time being. My buddy was running 38.5 boggers with a 502 big block and they held up fine.
