Default Transfer Case Drop?

I'm wanting to put a 3" lift on my 01 and didn't know if I should put in a transfer case drop or not? Any words of wisdom would be greatly appriciated!!

Agree, install the lift and test drive it. You may not need a t-case drop.

I didn't install it on my 01 when I lifted to 5.5" +/- I did add a few washers between the rails & cross member until the vibrations went away. I later installed an SYE (great mod!).

Thanks, the kit I'm buying cost an extra $40 with the t-case drop so I didn't know if it would be worth the money to just put it on?

No. Use degree shims. Transfer case drops tilt the motor and put strain on your motor mounts and stuff

With my old setup I was able to get by with a 3.5" lift and 10-15 deg shims. I had no vibrations and a decent pinion angle this way with no transfer case drop.

Another vote for shims, if you go higher you will need an SYE and Adj. Track Bar and U/L CA's to take care3 of the front. The track bar is needed with any lift really.
