Default Track bar concern

Alright guys im getting a 3 inch lift on Saturday and ive been reading up about re-drilling the track bar and adjustable ones. My XJ is 2WD, dont hate lol. Will i NEED to re-drill or is this just preventative/ would i be better off with a adjustable one? Last thing, whats a good Track Bar for my needs of mainly street duty for a good price.

Thanks

I ran roughly 3" stock. Walloed out the stock hole though. Pretty much any aftermarket trackbar will be fine for DD duty.

Still running the same MT's with almost 40,000 miles. I had zero DW. Do i suggest you do the same? No. If you have the coin drop it on a nice adj. trackbar.

I've been at 3.5 5.5 and now 6.5 on factory Track bar with no issues. I beefed and extended the axle mount. It's not ideal but it works I'll get an adj. someday when I find one that the bushings will last longer than 5k

I re-drilled my gf's with 3.5" of lift cause she didnt have money for an adjustable, works great. Nothing wrong with the hole, just took our time and made sure it was a tight fit with the bolt. Without moving the axle over there front geometry gets funky and doesnt drive right.

Bushings not lasting longer than 5K? 5K wheeling trips or miles? lol How would you know if you've only had the stock one?

I've owned 7 jeeps in the last year. One had a next to new RC lift and the tb bushing was already blown.granted it was RC, but what I'm saying is when the time comes im going to do my research and get a good one I despise "upgrading" and then having to fix it more than I did originally

Valid question though

Oh, I run the IRO double shear trackbar and love it. Touched it once since install 2 yrs ago just to check the torques after a few trips. Only the jam nut came loose cause I forgot loctite the 1st time.

While i have yall here i thought id ask... Im going to get the lift saturday. The only things it doesnt have that they normally come with are new U- bolts for my 8.25 and brake line extensions. Do i need to buy some? I would buy rustys if i did cause it looks like theyre the cheapest ive seen.
