Default Trac Bar Bolt

Getting ready to put on a new adjustable trac bar on a 97 XJ and in the process of removing the old one I am having troubles getting the old frame bolt out of the bushing from the old bar. I was able to get the nut off, but the bolt spins without backing out of the bracket. I am assuming because of heat and time and mud and dirt, the bolt has seized itself to the bushing. With very little prying room, does anyone have any suggestions on removing this stubborn bolt?

i am in the same boat as you going to cut the bolt off on the tracbar side. good news is on another vehicle i already swapped for a grade 8 9/16ths i think and you can just barely get a wrench in that hole to hold a nut.

Default trac bar bolt

So I cut the axle side trac bar bolt off with a sawzall. Found a replacement 10.9 grade M10x 1.50 bolt at Ace hardware with a flange nut on it for almost 4 bucks a copy. I was able to salvage the original bolt (with the welded on handle) which is a steel lock nut, so I put that back on with the new bolt. There is some play between the bolt diameter and the hole in the bracket, but it doesn't look like it has been wallowed out or anything, so I am just cranking it down to proper torque and we will see what happens!!

Same problem except mine snapped inside the bushing and let me tell you that was a pain in the ***** but I just beat it back and cut the bolt until I got it out and just used a new but and bolt I snagged from work(running a jap printing press has its advantages ie. A whole maintenance shop full of different grade 10.9 bolts and nuts . )

Yeah, I replaced the whole front end and still have some wobble at 55 mph. The bolt I used from Ace was the M10 1.5 which was the same as the factory installed, and also the same as Rough Country suggested, but does not fit into the sleeve bushing on the track bar snug. So now I think I will drop the track bar again and get an assortment of bolts to try. May also weld a washer onto the axle mount for the bar, whenever I find the right size. Anyone have any other suggestions, or ideas on where this wobble would be coming from?

New drag link, all new tie rod ends, zj tie rod bar, rough country adj. track bar and just aligned.
