Default Tow hook mounting with bent "frame"

Hello, I was looking into adding some front tow hooks to the Jeep ('99). I doubt i will be doing any serious off roading so this will be more for like towing friends/ stuck cars/ myself (on the off chance) out of snow.

I was looking at the c4x4 mounting brackets, but they also have a 90 angle that bolts parallel to the front bumper. The previous owner hit something and bent my "frame". Is this a big deal? It seems solid and I could probably bend the bracket to fit.

I was planning on getting a tow hitch for the rear, but I like the idea of a front tow point as well.

Thanks, and sorry for the crappy pic.

I've got those on my '96. They're thick so I wouldn't be trying to bend the brackets. If you didn't get them exactly right you could end up with holes not matching up all along the brackets. I guess you know there are other brands out there with out the angle or you could just not bolt up the angle part but it does offer more support if your pulling from a angle. Had anyone look at fixing or adding another crossmember?

I just got the jeep a few weeks ago and hasn't been an issue. I feel like that would be costly to replace- isn't it welded on? If so it's above my skill set to replace it.

Its one of those things that need to be repaired properly, not a huge deal.

As for "Tow Hooks" instead of using them buy Mounts for D-Rings that use the same holes after a repair. Much safer, easier to use and stronger plus your straps never fall out like with a hook. FYI most all of the 4wd parks require D-Ring recovery points front and rear with "No Chains Allowed"

I was actually planning on the D rings as I have a few of them laying around. Do you (or anyone) have any idea of the cost of the repair? It hasn't caused any problems and still seems sturdy, so if the cost is high I'll probably just stick with the trailer hitch mounted D ring. I'm cheap haha
