Default Thinking of Doing a Cheapo-Lift.

Hey all.
I know this topic comes up a lot, and there are many ways to accomplish this.

I was originally thinking of going with a RC 3" lift, but funds are pretty tight for the moment. So I am looking into cheaper options.

I know that there are various block lift kits for the rear, and that there are a couple members here who make spacers. The only spring spacer I can find for the front are ones that give approx. 1" of lift. Can anyone make a 2" or 3"one for the front?

I am a total noob in this department. If I used spacers, I am guessing that my shocks would have to be swapped as well? Or can they handle a couple extra inches? What about the rear driveline? Does one typically have to dig up a longer input shaft for the rear diff?

Just looking for some general information that I haven't been able to really clarify by reading through the various lift threads. A lot of guys add a leaf, or yank stuff from other cars in the junkyard. Just trying to keep it basic, and relatively inexpensive. If I cannot get around a requirement to swap shocks with this endeavor, I'll likely go the rough country route, since most of their kits come with shocks. I know there are some other budget solutions from them as well that I might look into.

EricFX makes coil spacers.

Avoid blocks for the rear.

So spacers and shackles being one of the more preferred cheap ways to do it then?

Lol. Like I said, I *know* there is more than one way to get there.

I read a lot about people lifting their Jeeps, and I decided on how I want to do mine. Looks like I should be able to acquire the stuff next week when I get paid. Research... yeah, been doing that but...
I just don't know if I will have to extend any shocks (though that is looking like the stockers could work) nor do I know if I will have to extend the input/output/drive shaft. I find little information in this regard, searching (google, other forums, here etc.) . I see a lot of abbreviations and acronyms that I am unfamiliar with. Lifting is something all together new to me.

I know how to google, I know how to search forums. Now, I haven't tried every keyword possible because of the last two above statements (I used to work in a library, I still spend a lot of time digging for random information. Lol).
