Default Synthetic rope on a winch???

Hey guys, I've been shopping winches and I need some feedback on synthetic rope vs cable. I hate cable and would love it if I never had to handle one again but I have a few concerns about the rope:
1. Strength
2. Durability
3. Do they play well with ****** blocks?

If you currently run one, let me know how it has treated you.

If you already don't like cable winch lines then this should be a no brainer...

But to answer your questions...

1. Stronger than cable.
2. Lasts longer than cable (more maintenance)
3. A few companies have synthetic specific ****** blocks now.

I don't have a synthetic line yet, but have used them many times. IMHO there is no other way to go. And, if a synthetic line breaks, it carries no energy and will not snap back and kill someone like a steel cable will.

You would think it's a no brainer but sometimes new products fall short you know. I don't mind the extra $80 if the ropes hold up.

New product?
Synthetic rope has been used for a very long time in the marine industry.

I switched over to synthetic rope about 6 years ago, no regrets at all.

Check out my site, I've got some sale this month.

Well, synthetic rope on a winch is new to me, lol. I drove a tow truck for a few years, if I never see another steel cable again I'll be just fine with that

There's no need to spend that much.

I've already answered your question but...

Switching to rope was a great choice.

Keep it clean, keep it out of the sun when you're not wheeling, keep it off the rocks when pulling and it'll serve you well...

I got mine from Alex at Masterpull.

The only reason I wouldn't run synthetic winch line is if most of my wheeling was in mud.
Dirt isn't synthetic lines friend, dirt left in the line will grind against the fibers and cut the line.
Also long pulls can cause the line to get to hot and cause failures, so long pulls should be broken up into short pulls so the winch can cool down a some.

Thanks Guys, I'm pretty much sold on the rope. I guess I'll have to stretch the budget, again...
